Jason Crowley, CFA, CFP®, CDFA™
Partner
Jason Crowley is a founding partner of Divorce Capital Planning, co-founder of Divorce Mortgage Advisors, founder of Survive Divorce, and financial advisor at Capital Planning Partners. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Jason works with our clients and their attorneys to formulate creative options to complicated settlement issues. He specializes in developing comprehensive financial projections to analyze, address, and evaluate all facets of a divorce settlement. Jason has experience modeling cash flow projections and facilitating the division of complex assets such as stock options, business and venture capital interests, and real estate investments.
Jason has extensive training in family law specific Mediation and Collaborative Divorce. He is an active member in a number of professional associations including the Association of Divorce Financial Planners, Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, as well as the California State Bar and County Bar Associations. He is a frequent guest speaker on the financial and tax issues in divorce for local organizations and divorce professionals. Previously, Jason served as a financial planner with Wealth Strategies Group. He began his professional career as a financial analyst at Commerce Capital Group, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory services.
Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated summa cum laude. Jason has the distinction of being one of the select few financial professionals to hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) credentials. He also holds the Financial Industry Regulatory (FINRA) Series 7 and 66 licenses. A Bay area native, Jason resides in Menlo Park.
Karlyn Henry, CFP®, CDFA®
Senior Associate
Karlyn Henry, CFP®, CDFA®, is a senior associate and divorce financial strategist at Divorce Capital Planning. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Karlyn helps clients navigate through the financial complexities associated with divorce. Working individually, as a mediator, or a financial neutral on a collaborative team; Karlyn helps clients to better understand financial issues that arise during the divorce process and educates them on the impact of potential settlement possibilities. It is important to Karlyn that clients understand their financial situation in detail so they can make educated financial decisions.
Karlyn is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She also serves as a Delegate for Collaborative Practice California and is currently the Vice President of Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley. Karlyn speaks frequently on financial issues related to divorce, most recently on cryptocurrency and tax issues.
Karlyn earned a B.A. in Business Finance from California State University, Fullerton. A Santa Cruz County native, Karlyn currently resides in San Jose with her husband and son. In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, traveling, and watching sports.
JB Rizzo, CPA/ABV/CFF

With over 15 years of experience in complex family law litigation, JB Rizzo specializes in forensic accounting and business valuations for marital dissolutions. JB is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He has experience in the preparation of business valuations, income available for support calculations, marital standard of living analysis, tracing and apportionment analysis, community property balance sheets, and the analysis of settlement proposals, tax returns, financial statements, and other business records. Mr. Rizzo has testified as an expert witness in numerous family law litigation matters in the Superior Court in the state of California.
Previously, JB Rizzo was a Senior Manager with Hargrave & Hargrave, a Los Angeles-based CPA firm specializing in forensic accounting and litigation consulting. During his tenure, JB was responsible for analyzing complex accounting, financial, valuation, and tax issues associated with divorce. He frequently served as the Court-appointed expert under California §730, commonly referred to as “joint neutral.” JB began his financial career at Arthur Andersen, where he was responsible for the preparation of individual and corporate tax returns before transferring to the firm’s Los Angeles office to focus on forensic accounting in the Business Fraud and Investigation Services group.
JB received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a contributing author to the Family Law Services Handbook, which is widely recognized as the definitive authority on forensic accounting issues in divorce. A frequent guest speaker, JB is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of CPAs, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
